*Job Brief: *Excellent & rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a new nursing unit within an established, large care home. Specialising in elderly, dementia, general nursing and residential care.

*Key Points*
* Welcoming and clean care home with a newly renovated nursing unit!
* Patients require Palliative, Dementia, Nursing, Residential & Elderly Care.
* Some duties will be; creating care plans, medication, catheterisation, taking blood, overseeing care staff, leasing with GPs and relatives and promoting independence
* You must hold an active NMC pin with an Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing Qualification
* Hours are Part-time or Full-time (up to 48 hours per week)
* Shifts are 12 hrs on a changing rota each week, 08:00 - 20:00 or 20:00 - 08:00, 4 weeks in advance and may involve alternate weekends.
* The salary is £21.00ph with paid breaks
* Day shift or Night shift contracts are available

The Care Home is a large, welcoming and homely purpose-built, nursing and dementia care home. Specialising in residential, dementia, end-of-life and nursing care round the clock by a dedicated & compassionate team of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals. The care home aims to allow older people to enjoy a happy, more independent and fulfilled life.

The new care group acquired the home a few years ago and implemented several changes such as renovating the new nursing unit which is underway now, plus hiring a new team. The care home has improved from Required Improvement in all areas, to Good in three and on the way to Good overall and in all areas.

The care group is nationwide, operating 20 nursing homes and has over 20 years of experience in running successful care homes.

*Experience & Personal attributes*
* Minimum of 1-year post-qualifying nursing experience
* Ideally, you have experience in; elderly, dementia, and palliative care within a Care Home environment
* A caring and compassionate professional plus, a first-class communicator, enthusiastic & ambitious
* Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices
* Experience in producing well-developed care plans & risk assessments
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks

*Qualifications*
* A Nursing qualification can consider Adult, Learning Disability & Mental Health trained
* An active NMC registration
